Six crypto prop firms set against HyroTrader's consistency rule and 5% cap on each payout request

The closest HyroTrader alternatives are Breakout, Crypto Fund Trader and Velotrade: Breakout drops the consistency rule, the minimum days and any published payout cap, from $20. Crypto Fund Trader drops the consistency rule outside its Break accounts and the minimum days, from $40. Velotrade has no consistency rule on any plan, from $40.

Six firms, Velotrade among them, are compared against HyroTrader below on the two values traders leave it for, its consistency rule in the evaluation and its cap of 5% of the initial balance on each payout request, then on price, drawdown, split, payout and venue.

The reasons traders look for an alternative come first, each firm gets a card, a fit list matches each firm to a trader, and the page ends with the cases in which HyroTrader is still the better choice. The firm’s full record is in the HyroTrader review.

What are the best alternatives to HyroTrader?

PropRubric found six crypto prop firms that differ from HyroTrader on its two leaving attributes, the consistency rule in the evaluation and the 5% cap on each payout request, and each one changes at least one of them.

  1. Breakout: a fixed 3% daily floor recalculated once a day, no consistency rule, no minimum days and no published cap on a payout request, from $20.
  2. Crypto Fund Trader: no consistency rule on its standard models, no minimum days and a fixed daily limit from the 00:05 UTC balance, from $40.
  3. HyperPNL: no consistency rule on either plan and no published maximum on a payout, with one payout request a day from the first funded day, from $42.
  4. Velotrade: no consistency rule and a static floor on every plan, with a payout cap on the first two payouts only, from $40.
  5. SizeProp: no consistency rule, no maximum on a payout and a static floor that payouts do not move, from $36.
  6. Propr: no consistency rule, no minimum days and payouts that sweep the full profit on demand, from $25, with orders that can route to Hyperliquid on chain.

All six drop HyroTrader’s consistency rule in the evaluation, five publish no cap on a payout request while Velotrade caps only the first two, and the reasons traders want those two things changed are the firm’s own numbers.

Why do traders look for HyroTrader alternatives?

Traders look for HyroTrader alternatives for six reasons, and all six are the firm’s own published values rather than complaints.

  • A consistency rule in the evaluation. No day may count for more than 40% of the profit target on the 1-step and 2-step, and no trade for more than 50% on the Zero-Step, so a $320 day on a $500 target counts only $200.
  • Each payout request is capped at 5% of the initial balance. The FAQ states that profit above 5% “will not be paid” when a trader does not withdraw, so a $10,000 account takes at most $500 of profit per request before the split.
  • Five minimum trading days per phase. A pass in one day is possible only on the Zero-Step, at a non-refundable $89 to $949.
  • Two exposure caps when funded. Margin may not exceed 25% of the initial balance and open notional may not exceed 2× it, which caps the headline 150x leverage at 8× the margin in use.
  • A $59 entry against $20 to $40 elsewhere. The cheapest HyroTrader account, the $5,000 2-step, costs $59, where Breakout, Propr, SizeProp, Crypto Fund Trader and Velotrade start at $20 to $40.
  • No real capital at any stage. HyroTrader’s site states “There is no real-capital stage at any point”, where Propr routes A-book trades to Hyperliquid and Breakout’s funded trade ideas may be A-booked at the firm’s discretion.

A r/PropFirmTester thread from May 2026, which ranked fourth for the “HyroTrader vs” query on 1 October 2026, discusses the trailing daily limit and the per-trade cap as reasons to compare HyroTrader with others. HyroTrader has since removed both rules, and PropRubric did not verify the posters’ accounts and records the thread as a report.

The first reason is the one every alternative fixes, and the table above shows how each firm fixes it; the cards below compare each alternative with HyroTrader value against value.

How do the alternatives compare with HyroTrader?

The six alternatives compare with HyroTrader on the same six values. Each card follows one order: where the firm comes from, what it does differently from HyroTrader, what it costs against HyroTrader’s $59 at $5,000, and the catch, which is the thing HyroTrader does better.

Breakout: a fixed 3% daily floor, no per-trade cap and no consistency rule

Breakout is a crypto-first prop firm sold by a Delaware company and funded by a Kraken group company in the British Virgin Islands. Breakout differs from HyroTrader on both leaving attributes. Breakout applies no consistency rule, publishes no cap on a payout request and requires no minimum days. HyroTrader, unlike Breakout, counts no evaluation day above 40% of the target, caps each payout request at 5% of the initial balance and requires five days per phase.

Both firms set the daily floor once a day, Breakout at 3% from the 00:30 UTC balance and HyroTrader at 4% or 5% from the 00:00 UTC equity, and neither caps a single trade. Breakout costs $20 for $5,000 on Turbo against HyroTrader’s $59, and $330 for $100,000 against $579.

The catch at Breakout is the payout rail, USDC on Ethereum only, against HyroTrader’s USDT or USDC within 24 hours with a transaction ID on Solana payouts, and the absence of HyroTrader’s refund with the first payout. The two firms differ most on the payout rail and the refund, and the firm’s record is in the Breakout review.

Crypto Fund Trader: no per-trade cap and a static 10% floor from $40 (standard models only)

Crypto Fund Trader is a crypto-first prop firm run by SWISS RLCRATES AG in Zug, Switzerland, on MT5, Match-Trader or a Bybit venue. Crypto Fund Trader differs from HyroTrader on the consistency rule, which it applies only to its Break accounts, where a 40% single-day rule and a $10,000 daily profit cap apply, and on minimum days, none against five per phase.

Crypto Fund Trader also differs on the payout cap, none published per request against HyroTrader’s 5%, while its 2-Phase matches HyroTrader’s 2-step on a 5% daily limit and a static 10% floor. Crypto Fund Trader costs $40 for $5,000 on its 1-Phase against HyroTrader’s $59, and $199 for the $100,000 Break account against $579.

The catch at Crypto Fund Trader is the $10,000 cap on the profit of one day or one trade and the first payout after 15 traded days, against HyroTrader’s payout on demand once the funded account is in profit. The two firms differ most on payout timing against price, and the firm’s record is in the Crypto Fund Trader review.

HyperPNL: one payout request a day, no cap and no consistency rule

HyperPNL is a crypto-first prop firm run by Hyperpnl Ltd. in the Cayman Islands, whose off-chain engine fills orders against Hyperliquid’s live order book on a simulated account. HyperPNL differs from HyroTrader on both leaving attributes. HyperPNL applies no consistency rule on either plan and publishes no maximum on a payout, with one request a day from the first funded day and a minimum of 1% of the account size, paid in USDC by smart contract.

HyroTrader, unlike HyperPNL, counts no evaluation day above 40% of the target and caps each payout request at 5% of the initial balance. Both firms fix the daily limit once a day from the equity at 00:00 UTC, HyperPNL at 3% on its 1-step and 5% on its 2-step, and both keep a static floor, 5% or 9% at HyperPNL. HyperPNL costs $42 for $5,000 on its 1-step against HyroTrader’s $59.

The catch at HyperPNL is size and access: the published ladder stops at $25,000 against HyroTrader’s $200,000, the split stays at 80%, the fee is not refunded once trading begins, and residents of the United States and Canada are excluded. The firm’s record is in the HyperPNL review.

Velotrade: a static floor on every plan and no per-trade cap from $40

Velotrade is a crypto-first prop firm from Hong Kong whose terms fix the maximum drawdown floor from the initial balance on every plan. Velotrade differs from HyroTrader on the consistency rule, none against 40% of the target per day, and on the payout cap, 20× the challenge fee on the first two payouts and none after, against 5% of the initial balance on every request. Velotrade and HyroTrader both set the daily limit once a day and keep a static floor on every plan.

Velotrade costs $40 for $5,000 on its Pro 1-step against HyroTrader’s $59. The catch at Velotrade is the payout wait, 14 days after the first funded trade plus five qualifying days, against HyroTrader’s payout once the funded account is in profit.

A second catch at Velotrade is leverage of 2x on most altcoins against 50x to 100x on most pairs at HyroTrader; the firm’s record is in the Velotrade review.

SizeProp: a daily limit from the 20:00 UTC balance and a floor that payouts do not move

SizeProp is a crypto-first prop firm registered in the Cayman Islands with its own trading platform. SizeProp differs from HyroTrader on the consistency rule, none against 40% of the target per day, and on the payout cap, no maximum against 5% of the initial balance per request. The SizeProp daily limit of 3% is set from the balance at 20:00 UTC, and its static 5% floor is one that payouts leave untouched. SizeProp costs $36 for $5,000 on its Degen plan against HyroTrader’s $59.

The catch at SizeProp is the split route, 80% rising to 95% only with add-ons, the USDT-on-Ethereum-only payout rail, and 5x on BTC against Bybit’s limits; the firm’s record is in the SizeProp review.

Propr: no per-trade cap, no consistency rule and on-chain routing from $25

Propr is a crypto-first prop firm from the British Virgin Islands whose orders can route to Hyperliquid on chain, with each trade labelled A-book or B-book. Propr differs from HyroTrader on the consistency rule, none against 40% of the target per day, on minimum days, none against five, and on the payout, a full profit sweep on demand with no cap against 5% of the initial balance per request.

Propr costs $25 for $5,000 on its Turbo 1-step against HyroTrader’s $59. The catch at Propr is the Turbo plan’s 3% floor, 10x on BTC against Bybit’s limits, and a full profit sweep on every payout, with no partial withdrawals; the firm’s record is in the Propr review.

Which HyroTrader alternative fits which trader?

You should pick the alternative by the rule you are leaving, and six conditions cover the six firms.

  • If you want no consistency rule and no minimum days, choose Breakout at $20, or Propr at $25 for on-chain routing.
  • If you want the lowest upfront fee for $100,000, choose Crypto Fund Trader’s Break account at $199, plus a $328 activation fee after passing ($527 in full), and plan for its $10,000 daily profit cap and its 40% single-day rule.
  • If you want a payout request every day with no cap and no consistency rule, choose HyperPNL at $42, on accounts up to $25,000.
  • If you want no maximum on a payout and a static floor that payouts do not move, choose SizeProp.
  • If you want weekly payouts on chain with a hash per transfer, choose Velotrade on Arbitrum.
  • If you want the challenge fee back with the first payout, stay with HyroTrader, because none of the six refunds the fee; Breakout, Propr, SizeProp and HyperPNL match HyroTrader’s payout on demand once the funded account is in profit, but all four keep the fee. Leaving isn’t always the right move, and the three cases below are the ones in which it is not.

When is HyroTrader still the better choice?

HyroTrader is still the better choice in three cases, and each one is a value none of the six alternatives matches.

  • You want Bybit’s own interface and leverage. HyroTrader’s account is your own Bybit or BloFin demo account at up to 150x on BTC and ETH and 50x to 100x on most pairs; Crypto Fund Trader offers Bybit as a venue at up to 1:100, and the other five run their own platforms at 2x to 20x.
  • You want the fee back and a payout within 24 hours. HyroTrader refunds the challenge fee with the first payout and pays on demand once the funded account is in profit, with a transaction ID on its Solana payouts; Breakout, Velotrade, SizeProp, Propr and HyperPNL keep the fee, and Crypto Fund Trader waits 15 traded days.
  • You are a US resident who wants the firm to say so. HyroTrader’s FAQ states that the US and the UK are not on its restricted list; Breakout, Velotrade, SizeProp and Propr do not list the United States as restricted, Crypto Fund Trader excludes US residents from MT5, and HyperPNL excludes the United States and Canada.

The six firms, HyroTrader and every other crypto prop firm PropRubric tracks are ranked on five criteria on the shortlist of the best crypto prop firms. The one firm here that shares HyroTrader’s Bybit venue most closely is Crypto Fund Trader, which offers Bybit as one venue of three where HyroTrader makes it the account itself.
