Crypto Prop Firms for US Traders: Who Accepts Americans

Affiliate link: PropRubric may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. It never changes a score or a ranking.

HyroTrader states plainest that it accepts US traders, in its FAQ, among the eighteen crypto prop firms that accept them at PropRubric’s last check. The eighteen firms accept US traders in three strengths of statement: three say so outright, nine leave the United States off their restricted list, and six accept US residents only on some platforms or at some stages. E8 Markets accepts US clients and runs a US-only payout rail; Breakout does not list the United States as restricted and sells the cheapest entry at $20.

The firms are listed by the strength of their statement, and “accepts US traders” is defined in the five forms it takes. The leading firms get a card each, a six-point checklist covers the reading of a restricted-country list, and the firms that exclude US residents are named at the end.

A firm’s word about your country is one column of the verdict, and you should choose the best fit from the ranked best crypto prop firms once the column fits.

Values from each firm's own pages, checked by PropRubric

In the table, n/p means not published by the firm, and each firm’s evidence and check date are in its row tooltip and in the sections below.

Which crypto prop firms accept US traders?

PropRubric found 18 crypto prop firms that accept US traders, out of 28 active firms at PropRubric’s last check, and the firm’s own words decide the tier.

  1. HyroTrader states it (tier 1): “Residents and citizens of the prohibited jurisdictions listed in our Terms and Conditions can’t join HyroTrader. The U.S. and the U.K. are not on that list, so you can join from either country” (FAQ).
  2. E8 Markets states it (tier 1): the United States is absent from its restricted list, and its terms carry a “US-only Aeropay payout option”.
  3. FTMO states it through an affiliate (tier 1): US clients are served at ftmo.oanda.com, not at ftmo.com, so the contracting entity differs.
  4. Breakout does not restrict it (tier 2): a 24-entry list in its terms, as PropRubric counted it, names Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Russia, Venezuela and eighteen others, and not the United States.
  5. Kraken Prop does not restrict it (tier 2): “not listed as unavailable”, while Canada, India and the United Kingdom are.
  6. Propr, SizeProp, Velotrade, The5ers, AquaFunded, Funded Trader Markets and Goat Funded Trader do not restrict it (tier 2): each publishes a named list without the United States.
  7. Crypto Fund Trader accepts it partly (tier 3): MT5 is “not available to US residents”, and Match-Trader and the Bybit venue are allowed.
  8. BrightFunded accepts it partly (tier 3): not on the restricted list, but MT5 is not offered to US or UAE residents, per its footer.
  9. FundingPips accepts it partly (tier 3): evaluations are not excluded, and US clients cannot open the post-funding Prime Account.
  10. Mubite accepts it partly (tier 3): its FAQ lists the United States among the countries Bybit does not serve, and US residents join on the Cleo platform.
  11. RebelsFunding accepts it partly (tier 3): article 1.10 of its terms says US residents “may be accepted only for simulated trading Evaluation where permitted by applicable law”, subject to KYC, AML and jurisdiction checks.
  12. Tradeify 247 accepts it partly (tier 3): the United States is not on its restricted list, but MT5 is not available to US clients, who trade on DXtrade instead.

“Not listed as restricted” is a firm’s silence, and “accepts” is a firm’s statement, which is why the tiers are ordered by the strength of the words rather than by yes and no. The firm whose words are plainest is the first card below, and the full record of its rules, prices and payouts is in the HyroTrader review.

What does “accepts US traders” mean at a crypto prop firm?

Firms restrict or hedge on US clients for one reason that the industry’s own record shows: exposure to US customers is the risk a platform vendor and a regulator act on. MetaQuotes began revoking MT4 and MT5 access from prop firms on 2 February 2024, starting with True Forex Funds, citing US-client exposure, as reported by Finance Magnates, and the MT5 exceptions at Crypto Fund Trader and BrightFunded are the residue of that cutoff.

The CFTC’s case against Traders Global Group, the company behind My Forex Funds, was dismissed with prejudice on 13 May 2025 by order of Judge Edward S. Kiel, and it left the classification of prop firms unruled. Kraken’s own learn page states that “US clients can only trade crypto on Kraken prop trading products”, which is the owner’s claim about its own products and not a legal statement.

DailyForex’s prop firm regulation guide, written by Christopher Lewis, a technical analyst and not a lawyer, first published on 3 April 2025 and updated in September 2026, records that “retail prop firms are unregulated but duly registered companies”. No page on this site says a firm is “legal in the US”; each says “accepts US residents, per its terms”.

How do US-friendly crypto prop firms compare?

US-friendly crypto prop firms compare on three axes with a different leader on each. Breakout and Kraken Prop lead on price at $20 for $5,000, and Velotrade and HyroTrader lead on drawdown room with a static 10% maximum, on Velotrade’s Classic 2-step and HyroTrader’s Two-Step.

HyroTrader also leads on payout proof, with a transaction ID for every Solana payout, made on demand within 24 hours. The eight cards below start with HyroTrader and follow the same order: origin and category, the unique attribute, the price from, the US rule with its exact value, the catch, and the links.

HyroTrader: The United States Is Not on Its Restricted List

HyroTrader is a crypto-first crypto prop firm provided by HYRO TECHNOLOGIES FZ-LLC in the UAE, with a British Virgin Islands company running the funded phase on simulated capital. The unique attribute of HyroTrader is the exchange connection: the challenge trades your own Bybit or BloFin demo account through an API, or HyroTrader’s own Hyro platform. Prices at HyroTrader start at $59 for a $5,000 2-step.

The US rule at HyroTrader is the FAQ’s own sentence, “The U.S. and the U.K. are not on that list, so you can join from either country”, with the caveat that a Bybit or BloFin challenge also follows that exchange’s terms.

The catch at HyroTrader is the exchange’s side of that sentence, because Bybit’s own regional rules decide whether the Bybit account can be opened from the United States. The Tealstreet and Tiger terminals are closed to traders in the United States, while the Hyro platform run by HyroTrader needs no exchange account. Read the HyroTrader review.

E8 Markets: Accepts US Clients With a US-Only Payout Rail

E8 Markets is a multi-asset crypto prop firm run by E8 Funding LLC under Texas law, with perpetual accounts priced off Hyperliquid. The unique attribute of E8 Markets is the payout rail: Aeropay, a US-only option beside Rise and bank transfer. Prices at E8 Markets start at $28 for a $5,000 E8 Pro Perpetual.

The US rule at E8 Markets is a restricted list that does not name the United States and a terms clause that offers the US-only rail. The catch at E8 Markets is KYC before purchase, through Veriff, which is needed to see products and get credentials, plus a manual re-check after passing. Read the E8 Markets crypto trading page.

Breakout: Not Restricted, and the Cheapest Entry

Breakout is a crypto-first crypto prop firm sold by Breakout Trading Group, LLC in Delaware and funded by Payward Oceanic Ltd. in the Kraken group. The unique attribute of Breakout is the shortest rulebook in the census under an exchange group’s ownership. Prices at Breakout start at $20 for a $5,000 Turbo. The US rule at Breakout is a restricted list in its terms, 24 entries as PropRubric counted it, that does not name the United States, recorded as “not listed as restricted”.

The catch at Breakout is that its documents carry different country lists, 21, 22 and 23 entries across three documents per Prop Firm Briefing’s review of 16 September 2026, and none of them names the United States. Read the Breakout review.

Kraken Prop: Not Unavailable in the US, Unavailable in Canada, India and the UK

Kraken Prop is a crypto-first crypto prop firm sold inside Kraken Pro, the same programme as Breakout under Payward Oceanic Ltd. The unique attribute of Kraken Prop is the $20 entry paid into and out of a Kraken wallet. Prices at Kraken Prop start at $20 for a $5,000 Advanced account.

The US rule at Kraken Prop is “not listed as unavailable”, while Canada, India and the United Kingdom are named as unavailable. The catch at Kraken Prop is Kraken’s full identity verification before the funded account, and an internal-ledger payout with no on-chain record. Read the Kraken Prop review.

Propr: Not Restricted, With On-Chain USDC Payouts

Propr is an on-chain crypto prop firm run by Propr Limited in the British Virgin Islands on Hyperliquid perpetuals. The unique attribute of Propr is labelled execution, each trade marked A-book or B-book on a public dashboard. Prices at Propr start at $25 for a $5,000 Turbo 1-step. The US rule at Propr is a named restricted list without the United States. The catch at Propr is KYC before the funded account with an ID and a live selfie, and a full profit sweep on every payout. Read the Propr review.

Crypto Fund Trader: Allowed on Match-Trader and Bybit, Not on MT5

Crypto Fund Trader is a crypto-first crypto prop firm run from Switzerland, per PropFirmMatch, on simulated accounts. The unique attribute of Crypto Fund Trader is breadth: 715+ crypto pairs claimed on its homepage, across three platforms. Prices at Crypto Fund Trader start at $40 for a $5,000 1-Phase.

The US rule at Crypto Fund Trader is a platform exception: “MT5 not available to US residents”, with Match-Trader and the Bybit venue allowed. The catch at Crypto Fund Trader is that the exception is decided at checkout, so a US trader who picks MT5 buys an account the firm’s terms exclude. Read the Crypto Fund Trader review.

FTMO: US Clients Served by an Affiliated Entity

FTMO is a multi-asset crypto prop firm run by three Czech companies, with 30 crypto CFDs on simulated accounts. The unique attribute of FTMO is the affiliate route: US clients trade at ftmo.oanda.com, not ftmo.com. Prices at FTMO are listed in euros. The US rule at FTMO is the entity you contract with, an affiliated one under a different domain. The catch at FTMO is that the affiliated entity’s terms, fees and rules can differ from FTMO’s own, and PropRubric records ftmo.com. Read the FTMO crypto trading page.

BrightFunded: Not Restricted, but No MT5 for US Residents

BrightFunded is a multi-asset crypto prop firm run by Bright Global FZCO in Dubai, with 48 or more crypto CFD pairs. The unique attribute of BrightFunded is a free $1,000 challenge for new users beside its paid plans. Prices at BrightFunded are listed in euros.

The US rule at BrightFunded is a footer note: MT5 is not offered to US or UAE residents or citizens, while the firm’s other platforms are. The catch at BrightFunded is that the note sits in the footer, not in the restricted list, so a reader of the list alone would miss it. Read the BrightFunded crypto trading page.

The remaining tier-2 firms, SizeProp, Velotrade, The5ers, AquaFunded, Funded Trader Markets and Goat Funded Trader, and tier-3 FundingPips, Mubite, RebelsFunding and Tradeify 247, are table-only entries with their exact wording in the US status column.

How do you choose a US-friendly crypto prop firm?

You choose a US-friendly crypto prop firm by reading the country rule in the document that binds, and six checks cover it.

  1. Read the restricted-country list in the terms, not the homepage. Breakout’s three lists differ by document; the terms are the ones the contract cites. Best on this list: HyroTrader, which states its rule in one sentence.
  2. Check which platform is US-eligible. MT5 is the platform most often excluded; pick Match-Trader or Bybit at Crypto Fund Trader. Best on this list: E8 Markets, whose exceptions are none.
  3. Check whether payouts reach US bank rails or only crypto. A firm that pays USDC on Ethereum only, as Breakout does, needs a self-custody wallet. Best on this list: E8 Markets, with its Aeropay option.
  4. Confirm the KYC document types your firm’s provider accepts. SumSub at Breakout, Veriff at E8 Markets, Kraken’s own verification at Kraken Prop. Best on this list: Kraken Prop, whose verification is the exchange’s own.
  5. Check the entity you contract with. FTMO’s US clients contract with an affiliated entity at a different domain. Best on this list: Breakout and Kraken Prop, whose two entities are named in every document.
  6. Watch the change log for access changes. Breakout’s US status changed in PropRubric’s record when the terms replaced a Kraken comparison page as the source. Best on this list: any firm whose changes are logged, which is every firm here.

The order of the firms above follows the strength of the US statement first and the PropRubric score second, and the method behind that order is on the page about how PropRubric verifies crypto prop firm data. The firms above accept US traders in some form; the ones that don’t are worth knowing too, because a “no” in the terms is the one answer that cannot be argued at payout time.

Which crypto prop firms don’t accept US traders?

Four crypto prop firms exclude US residents in their terms, and six of the eight firms without a country list say nothing about the United States, which is recorded as unknown, not as a no.

  • Fundedbit: the United States is on its restricted list with Iran, North Korea and other OFAC-sanctioned countries.
  • HyperPNL: the United States and its territories, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Cuba are excluded.
  • Upscale: “United States (residents)” is excluded in its terms of 15 May 2026, despite a homepage that advertises “no geographic restrictions”.
  • PropW: its list names mainland China, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, North Korea and the United States.
  • Not published (unknown): Bitfunded, Klein Funding, WenCrypto, Cointracts, TradeXProp and Dolvero state no country rule in the pages PropRubric read. The other two firms without a full country list answer the US question in other words: Crypto Fund Trader by platform and RebelsFunding by stage, which is why both sit in tier 3. Each of the six is re-read at the next field pass.

A KYC check is the point at which a country rule is enforced, and the firms above verify identity at different steps: Breakout before the funded account, E8 Markets before purchase, Kraken Prop through the exchange’s own verification. Traders outside the United States have their own access table by country, and the United Kingdom, which Kraken Prop excludes, has its own list of crypto prop firms for UK traders.
