FundingPips Crypto Trading 2026: Leverage, Rules and Payouts
FundingPips is one of the multi-asset firms with a crypto offer that PropRubric tracks beside the crypto-first ranking of the best crypto prop firms. It also appears on the lists of crypto prop firms in India and instant funding crypto prop firms.
Yes, FundingPips allows crypto trading on all of its models, with two crypto CFDs, BTCUSD and ETHUSD, at 1:2 leverage in the evaluation and 1:1 once the account is funded.
FundingPips is a multi-asset prop firm registered in the Comoros with an address in Dubai, and its accounts are demo accounts by its own help centre. The weekend rule depends on the stage: the evaluation may hold crypto over the weekend, a funded Master account has every open trade closed by the system each day unless the Swing add-on was bought. A Zero account that holds any position into the weekend is terminated.
Crypto trades pay a 0.04% commission, and crypto rewards go out only in USDT or USDC on the ERC20 network, from 1% of the account size. Use these terms to choose between FundingPips and the forex firms that let you trade crypto.
At a glance
| crypto allowed | instruments | crypto leverage | weekend | crypto commission | crypto rewards |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| yes, all models | 2 CFDs: BTCUSD, ETHUSD | 1:2 evaluation; 1:1 funded | evaluation holds; Master auto-closed daily without the Swing add-on; Zero terminated | 0.04% (lot × price × 0.04%) | USDT or USDC, ERC20 only; minimum 1% of account size |
Does FundingPips allow crypto trading?
Yes, FundingPips allows crypto trading on its 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Flex, 2 Step Pro, 1 Step Flex and Zero models, through two crypto CFDs, BTCUSD and ETHUSD. FundingPips’ crypto instruments are CFDs among the 41 instruments its help centre lists, in accounts it describes as “demo accounts”.
| FundingPips model | crypto | crypto leverage (evaluation → funded) | note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 Step Standard, Flex, Pro | yes | 1:2 → 1:1 | Swing and swap-free accounts 1:1 throughout |
| 1 Step Flex | yes | 1:2 → 1:1 | sold as the “1 Day Pass” |
| Zero (instant) | yes | 1:2 | 1 lot per click on crypto |
Two crypto symbols is the shortest list among the multi-asset firms PropRubric checked, together with The5ers. The list and the weekend rule are the two things to compare against all crypto prop firms PropRubric tracks.
Which cryptocurrencies can you trade at FundingPips?
FundingPips lists 2 crypto CFDs on its “Get Started” page: “Crypto (2): BTCUSD (Bitcoin vs USD), ETHUSD (Ethereum vs USD)”. A trader looking for coins beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum will not find them here, and the leverage on the two symbols changes between stages.

What leverage does FundingPips offer on crypto?
FundingPips offers 1:2 leverage on crypto during the evaluation and 1:1 on the funded Master account, and 1:1 throughout on Swing and swap-free accounts.
| stage | standard account | Swing or swap-free account |
|---|---|---|
| evaluation (Phase 1 and 2) | 1:2 | 1:1 |
| Master (funded) | 1:1 | 1:1 |
FundingPips’ 2 Step Standard article says “Once Phase 2 is passed and the account moves to the Master Account, Crypto leverage changes from 1:2 to 1:1, including on swap-free accounts.” A bitcoin position of $20,000 needs $10,000 of margin in the evaluation and $20,000 once funded, so the same trade takes twice the margin after passing. The funded stage is also where the weekend rule changes.
Can you hold crypto over the weekend at FundingPips?
Yes, FundingPips lets an evaluation hold crypto over the weekend, but it closes every Master trade daily unless the Swing add-on was bought, and terminates a Zero account holding into the weekend. FundingPips’ help page on weekend holding sets all three rules.
| stage | overnight and weekend holding | what happens to an open crypto trade |
|---|---|---|
| evaluation (1 Step Flex, 2 Step Standard, Flex, Pro) | allowed for all instruments | stays open |
| Master account, no Swing add-on | not allowed | closed by the system each day, 20:45–21:00 UTC in summer time, 21:45–22:00 UTC in winter |
| Master account with the Swing add-on (10%, bought at purchase) | allowed | stays open |
| Zero Master account | banned before the weekend close | “immediate account termination, regardless of instrument” |
The system close is not a breach: “Trades closed by the system for Overnight & Weekend holding will not result in an account breach. However, it will not count as a valid trading day.” The help page calls the Master rule “the temporary weekend restriction”, and a comparison site dates its start to 29 January 2026, so the rule should be re-read before relying on it.
The trading-day count has its own crypto rule, set out in three cases.
- Opened and closed over the weekend: the trade “does not count as a trading day and does not reset the 30-day inactivity clock”.
- Opened over the weekend, closed on a weekday: the trade counts on the day it is closed.
- Opened on a weekday, closed over the weekend: the trade does not count as a trading day.
The daily auto-close also means a funded crypto position without the Swing add-on never lives past one session, which shapes the cost of trading below.
What does crypto trading cost at FundingPips?
Crypto trading at FundingPips costs a commission of 0.04% of the position’s value, worked out as lot size × crypto price × 0.04%, and swaps that FundingPips charges on crypto even on swap-free accounts.
| cost | crypto at FundingPips | worked example (1 lot BTCUSD at $80,000) |
|---|---|---|
| commission | 0.04%, standard and Swing or swap-free | $32.00 |
| swap | charged, including on swap-free accounts | rate not published |
| forex comparison | $5 per lot standard, $10 swap-free | — |
The 0.04% figure appears on the Get Started page and the model pages, and a help page read two days earlier described the crypto commission as “lot × price × 0”, so PropRubric records the change. The challenge fee is the fixed cost, and the list prices below are from the public checkout page, in US dollars.
| account size | 2 Step Standard (5% daily) | 2 Step Flex | 2 Step Pro | 1 Step Flex (3% daily) | Zero |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $44 | $39 | $33 | $74 | $60 |
| $10,000 | $80 | $70 | $62 | $111 | $88 |
| $25,000 | $216 | $188 | $149 | $255 | $188 |
| $50,000 | $349 | $299 | $249 | $353 | $244 |
| $100,000 | $652 | $555 | $466 | $666 | $444 |
| $200,000 | — | — | $919 | — | $888 |
Choosing the lower daily loss makes the challenge cheaper: the 2 Step Standard with a 3% daily limit costs $544 at $100,000, and the 1 Step Flex with 2% costs $529. The Swing add-on costs $55.50 more at $100,000, and FundingPips says its fees are non-refundable except where the law requires. The rules those fees buy follow.
Do FundingPips’ challenge rules change for crypto?
No, FundingPips’ challenge rules do not change for crypto, except for the funded leverage drop and the 1-lot-per-click limit on Zero.
| rule | 2 Step Standard | 2 Step Flex | 2 Step Pro | 1 Step Flex | Zero |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| profit target | 8% then 5% | 10% then 8% | 6% then 6% | 12% | none (7 profitable days before a reward) |
| daily loss | 3% or 5% | 4% | 3% | 2% or 3% | 3% |
| maximum loss | 10% static | 12% static | 6% static | 12% static | 5% trailing |
| minimum days | 3 | — | — | 3 | — |
| consistency | — | — | — | — | best day ≤15% of profit |
| news (funded) | ±5 minutes around high-impact news, ±10 around speeches; profits deducted | same | same | 10-minute window | banned, with closure |
FundingPips’ news rule exempts trades opened 5 hours or more before an event, and it bans “purposely trading news” in both phases. The news rules apply the same way to an American trader, within limits.
Can US traders trade crypto at FundingPips?
Partly: FundingPips’ help centre does not exclude US residents from the evaluations but bars them from the Prime account, while a review site says FundingPips “does not currently accept traders from the United States”. The Get Started page restricts Iran, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates and countries on FATF, EU or UN sanctions lists, and the checkout is the place to confirm a US address before paying. Once paying traders are funded, the payout rules are the same for every country.
Does FundingPips pay out in crypto?
Yes, FundingPips pays crypto rewards in USDT or USDC on the ERC20 network only, from 1% of the Master account size, with service, exchange-rate and network fees deducted. FundingPips publishes no maximum per crypto reward on its Reward Methods page.
Payout terms
| crypto coins | minimum | maximum | fees | processing | split by cycle (2 Step Standard) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| USDT or USDC, ERC20 only | 1% of the Master account size | not published | “service fees, exchange rates, and network transaction fees” deducted | 1–3 working days | weekly 60%, bi-weekly 80%, on demand 90%, monthly 100% |
Rise and bank transfers need $500, and a “Tradin Transfer” option moves the reward to FundingPips’ own broker with a 30% bonus. FundingPips warns that “Sending to an incompatible network or address type may result in permanent loss of funds”, so the wallet must accept ERC20 tokens. Firms that pay on cheaper networks than Ethereum are compared on the list of prop firms that pay out in crypto.
Can you pay for a FundingPips challenge with crypto?
Yes, FundingPips lists “cryptocurrency” among its checkout methods, beside Visa and Mastercard, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, Neteller, Skrill and Paysafecard, and it warns that crypto invoices “have a validity window”. Those crypto invoices and every other firm’s are compared on the list of prop firms that accept a crypto checkout.
Crypto at FundingPips is two CFDs inside a forex-first firm, closed daily once funded, which raises the last question: is FundingPips a crypto prop firm at all?
Is FundingPips a crypto prop firm?
No, FundingPips is a multi-asset prop firm that offers bitcoin and ether as one of five asset classes. For a trader who treats crypto as the main asset class, the funded auto-close is the attribute that decides, because positions cannot run through the night or the weekend.
Two census members hold crypto positions through the weekend on funded accounts; how PropRubric scores firms sets out the five criteria behind every score on this site.
- HyroTrader, registered in the UAE, connects the account to Bybit, where crypto trades 24/7, and pays USDT or USDC on demand, as the HyroTrader review explains.
- Kraken Prop, the Kraken storefront of Breakout’s programme, trades through the weekend with a margin funding fee of 0.033% a day, as the Kraken Prop review of trading inside Kraken Pro explains.
The rule differences between multi-asset and crypto-only firms are set out in crypto prop firms vs forex prop firms.
