HyroTrader vs Breakout: Fees, Rules and Payouts (2026)
Affiliate link: PropRubric may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. It never changes a score or a ranking.
HyroTrader wins on payout proof and the fee refund, Breakout on price and the absence of a consistency rule, and the two differ most on where you trade. HyroTrader puts you on your own Bybit or BloFin demo account through an API, or on its own Hyro platform, while Breakout runs its own terminal inside the Kraken group. Breakout is cheaper at entry ($20 against $59), HyroTrader refunds the fee with the first payout, and both trade simulated capital in every phase, by their own terms.
Nine differences follow, ordered by weight, then the prices by size, the rules side by side, the payout terms, who can join, the trust evidence and the conditions under which each firm is the right choice.

What is the difference between HyroTrader and Breakout?
HyroTrader and Breakout differ in nine ways that change what you pay or how you can fail, and the first is the venue. HyroTrader is a crypto prop firm provided by HYRO TECHNOLOGIES FZ-LLC in the UAE, with a British Virgin Islands company running its funded phase, whose unique attribute is a challenge traded on your own Bybit or BloFin demo account.
Breakout is a crypto prop firm sold by Breakout Trading Group, LLC in Delaware and funded by Payward Oceanic Ltd. in the Kraken group, whose unique attribute is the shortest rulebook in the census.
- Where you trade: HyroTrader connects your own Bybit or BloFin demo account through an API key, so orders sit on the exchange’s interface at its per-pair leverage, or runs them on its own Hyro platform; Breakout runs its own Breakout Terminal with leverage set per market and no exchange account. Both firms’ terms describe every phase as simulated, so the decider is the venue, not real money against demo money.
- Entry price: Breakout’s Turbo starts at $20 for $5,000; HyroTrader’s 2-step starts at $59.
- Daily limit: HyroTrader’s 5% on the Two-Step, 4% on the One-Step and 3% on the Zero-Step are static from the equity at 00:00 UTC, so a good morning leaves the afternoon’s room intact; Breakout’s 3% is recalculated once a day from the balance excluding open positions at 00:30 UTC.
- Maximum drawdown: HyroTrader’s static floor sits 10% below the starting balance on the Two-Step, 6% on the One-Step and 5% on the Zero-Step; Breakout’s static floor sits 6% below on Classic, 5% on Pro and 3% on Turbo.
- Consistency rule: HyroTrader counts any single evaluation day up to 40% of the profit target, or one Zero-Step trade up to 50%; Breakout has none.
- Minimum days: HyroTrader requires 1 on the Zero-Step and 5 per phase on the One- and Two-Step; Breakout requires none.
- Refund: HyroTrader refunds the One- and Two-Step fee with the first payout, while its Zero-Step fee is non-refundable; Breakout’s fees are non-refundable.
- Payout rail: HyroTrader pays USDT or USDC on Solana or Tron within 24 hours, up to 5% of the initial balance per request; Breakout pays USDC on Ethereum only after an approval of 12 to 24 hours, with no cap.
- Leverage: HyroTrader allows up to 150x on BTC and ETH and 50x to 100x on most pairs; Breakout applies 10x on BTC, 5x on ETH and the majors, and 2x to 3x on smaller coins, per its announcement of 12 August 2026.
The full record of HyroTrader’s values, with the source and date for each, is in its review, the HyroTrader review; the difference most buyers weigh first is the price, and the next section prices both firms by size.
Which is cheaper, HyroTrader or Breakout?
Breakout is cheaper than HyroTrader from $5,000 to $50,000 on the like-for-like 1-step, its Classic against HyroTrader’s One-Step, by $24 at $5,000 and $99 at $50,000. At $100,000 HyroTrader’s $749 is $51 below Classic’s $800. Breakout’s Turbo undercuts HyroTrader at every size ($20 against $69 at $5,000, $660 against $1,299 at $200,000), and HyroTrader’s refund with the first payout reverses the answer for a trader who gets paid.

Add-ons change the total: Breakout’s 90% split is an add-on at checkout, while HyroTrader sells no add-on. Refunds change it more: HyroTrader returns the One- and Two-Step fee with the first payout, so a funded HyroTrader trader’s net price is zero, while Breakout keeps the fee at any outcome. The like-for-like price rows compare HyroTrader’s 1-step with Breakout’s Classic, whose 6% maximum matches HyroTrader’s One-Step, and Breakout’s Classic $100,000 at $800 costs more than HyroTrader’s $749.
How do HyroTrader’s and Breakout’s rules compare?
HyroTrader’s and Breakout’s rules match on the drawdown type, the stop-loss and the time-limit rows and differ on most others, and the row that fails the most traders is the daily limit.
| Rule | ||
|---|---|---|
| Daily drawdown ● | zero-step: 3%; 1-step: 4%; 2-step: 5%; funded: same as the model (funded phase inherits it) | classic: 3%; pro: 3%; turbo: 3%; spark: none |
| Daily reset (UTC) ● | 00:00 | 00:30 |
| Maximum drawdown ● | zero-step: 5%; 1-step: 6%; 2-step: 10%; funded: same as the model | classic: 6%; pro: 5%; turbo: 3%; spark: $1,500 trailing |
| Drawdown type ● | daily: static: measured from equity (balance + open P&L + fees) at 00:00 UTC start of day; limit = fixed % of INITIAL balance; reference does not rise with intraday gains; resets daily 00:00 UTC; same on every model, no option; max loss: static equity floor on the initial allocation (95% / 94% / 90% for Zero / One / Two-Step); does not trail a high-water mark; equity-based incl. unrealised P&L | classic/pro/turbo: static from initial balance; spark: trailing $1,500 below the closed-balance high, updated daily at 00:30 UTC; never locks |
| Per-trade loss cap ● | none (removed in the October 2026 relaunch) | none |
| Stop-loss required ● | no — a stop-loss order is not mandatory | no |
| Consistency rule ● | 1-step: evaluation only: one trading day (net of all trades closed that day) counts for at most 40% of the PROFIT TARGET; 2-step: same, in both phases; zero-step: evaluation only: one trade counts for at most 50% of the profit target (no daily cap); funded: none; effect: excess profit stays in the account but does not count toward the target; not a breach; losses count in full | none |
| Profit target ● | zero-step: 10%; 1-step: 10%; 2-step: 10% (Challenge) then 5% (Verification); counting: only closed trades count | classic: 10%; pro: 12%; turbo: 9%; spark: $3,000 (6%) |
| Minimum trading days ● | zero-step: 1; 1-step: 5; 2-step: 5 per phase (10 total); funded: none | 0 |
| Time limit ● | unlimited | unlimited (90 days without a trade suspends a funded account) |
| Weekend trading ● | yes — 'Nothing is closed for you at the end of the day or the week'; overnight and weekend positions 'Permitted' (agreement Schedule 1 Part C); no swap or funding charge stated by the firm (Bybit/BloFin funding rates shown as data only) | yes |
| Hedging ● | Not published | within one account allowed (Hedge Mode on by default); across accounts or traders prohibited |
| Copy trading ● | Not published | not allowed (third-party signals and cross-user copying prohibited) |
| Leverage ● | Bybit (own demo account via API): up to 150x on BTC and ETH, 50x–100x on most pairs; BloFin (own demo account via API): up to 150x on BTC and ETH; Hyro platform: up to 100x+, depending on the pair | BTC: 10x; ETH, SOL, XRP, BNB, DOGE and ~20 others: 5x; ENA, HYPE, PEPE and ~8 others: 3x; smaller alts: 2x; XYZ100/S&P500: 10x; spark indices: up to 40x |
| Account limits ● | Not published | $200,000 total across funded accounts |
The daily limit is the worked example. On a $10,000 One-Step account that rises to $10,400 by midday, the HyroTrader daily floor stays at $9,600, and a $450 slide leaves $350 of room under it. Breakout’s floor stays at $9,700 until 00:30 UTC, and the same slide leaves $250 of room under it.
The stop-loss row matches, unlike the floor sizes, because neither firm requires one, and the per-trade cap row reads none at HyroTrader since its October 2026 relaunch and none published at Breakout. Breakout’s own values, and the four document conflicts its review found, are in the Breakout review.
Which pays out faster, HyroTrader or Breakout?
Neither HyroTrader nor Breakout pays out faster by its own stated time: both put the outer limit at 24 hours, HyroTrader for processing and Breakout for approval. HyroTrader’s payouts carry a transaction ID that Breakout’s do not, and HyroTrader caps each request at 5% of the initial balance where Breakout sets no cap.
| Payout term | ||
|---|---|---|
| Payout terms ● | speed: within 24 clock hours of a valid request, weekends included (transparency page: average 10h 41m; 98.7% within 24h); frequency: on demand, no cycle/window, unlimited requests; first as soon as funded account is in profit; minimum: $100 profit after the split; cap per request: 5% of initial balance of net profit per request, per funded account; profit above the cap is not paid and is annulled when the account resets to the allocation after each payout; currency: USDT · USDC; networks: several incl. Tron and Solana (only Solana payouts published with TXIDs); fees: no withdrawal fees; conditions: all positions closed before request; KYC complete | frequency: on demand, 24/7; min usd: 50 (after split); method: USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20) only; speed: approval 12–24h, usually quicker; conditions: no open positions; not breached; KYC done |
| Initial split | 80% | 80% |
| Maximum split ● | zero-step: 80%; 1-step: 90%; 2-step: 90% | 90% |
| Payout proof ● | payout feed on /payout/ plus /transparency/ dashboard: only Solana payouts are published with TXIDs (Solscan links); Tron also used but not published; on-chain since April 2026, "secured by Fireblocks"; totals: $8,897,496 paid since 2023, $1,239,434 on-chain, avg payout $1,610, $488,243 last 30 days, 99.6% approved, 98.7% within 24h, avg 10h 41m; payout wallet Gry8B7fxWo6qce15A1ULPM7bC8YSkWghNDWQgYMNPCsS; feed is a sample (traders can hide name/TXID) | public payout leaderboard (lifetime payouts by trader name); not on-chain links |
| Fee refund ● | one-step: Refundable Challenge Deposit, returned with (as a separate crypto transaction alongside) the first payout; two-step: same as One-Step; zero-step: non-refundable Challenge Fee once the challenge is activated; refunded only if cancelled before activation, if the unactivated challenge expires (6 months), or if HyroTrader itself cancels/terminates the challenge; all: cancel before activation = full return within 14 days | none — evaluation fees are non-refundable |
The condition on HyroTrader’s side is the 40% consistency cap in the evaluation, which slows a pass rather than a payout; the condition on Breakout’s side is the rail, USDC on Ethereum with no alternative. Neither firm’s speed on that rail is measured by an independent tracker, so both figures are the firms’ own.
Who can join HyroTrader and Breakout?
Both firms verify identity before the funded account and neither restricts US residents, and they say so with different force. HyroTrader states that US residents can join and publishes a restricted-country list without the United States, and Breakout does not list the United States on its 24-country restricted list.

FDBC5283, licence 47034334) provides the service; HYROTRADER TECHNOLOGIES LTD (British Virgin Islands, company no. 2166693) owns the platform IP and operates the funded-trader phase under a separate Funded Trader Agreement | Breakout Trading Group, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (evaluations); Payward Oceanic Ltd., BVI (funded accounts) |
A HyroTrader trader on the Bybit account also meets Bybit’s region rules, and a Breakout trader meets Kraken’s KYC through SumSub.
Is HyroTrader or Breakout more trustworthy?
HyroTrader carries the stronger payout evidence of the two, on-chain transaction IDs for its Solana payouts, and Breakout the stronger ownership evidence, an exchange group; both are operating crypto prop firms with named legal entities and a published rulebook each. Breakout’s shorter rulebook disagrees with itself in the four places its review lists.

Should you choose HyroTrader or Breakout?
HyroTrader is the choice for a trader who buys the Bybit venue, the refund, the payout proof and the larger drawdown room, and Breakout is the choice for a trader who buys the price and the absence of a consistency rule and minimum days. HyroTrader wins the venue, refund, payout-proof and drawdown-room rows; Breakout wins the price, consistency-rule and minimum-days rows, so the deciding rule is the one your strategy meets first.
Choose HyroTrader if you:
- trade on Bybit and want the challenge on the same interface, pairs and leverage;
- expect to be funded, because the fee comes back with the first payout;
- want a payout in USDT or USDC within 24 hours, with Solana payouts published by transaction ID;
- want a 5% daily and 10% maximum floor on the Two-Step, and accept that no evaluation day counts for more than 40% of the profit target.
Choose Breakout if you:
- want the cheapest entry at $20 for $5,000, or $330 for $100,000 on Turbo;
- run a strategy with large single days, because Breakout has no consistency rule;
- hold winners overnight, because Breakout’s daily floor ignores open profit at the 00:30 UTC reset;
- can receive USDC on Ethereum and accept an approval of up to 24 hours.
The closest alternatives differ on exactly the venue, for a trader whom neither firm’s venue fits.
What if neither HyroTrader nor Breakout fits?
Three alternatives differ from the pair on the venue, and each card names the attribute.
- Kraken Prop: the same programme as Breakout, sold inside Kraken Pro at $20 for $5,000 with payouts to a Kraken wallet in USD or USDG; the same two limits, no API, and Canada, India and the United Kingdom restricted.
- Crypto Fund Trader: Bybit as one of three platforms beside MT5 and Match-Trader, a static 10% maximum on its 2-phase plan from $58, and payouts after 15 traded days; a firm whose instant plan scales to $1.28 million.
- Propr: orders that can route to Hyperliquid on chain, each trade labelled A-book or B-book, USDC payouts on demand from $20, and no per-trade cap; a British Virgin Islands firm from $25.
Every firm that connects the challenge to a Bybit account, and how deep each connection goes, is compared on the list of crypto prop firms that use Bybit. The best fit across every need is on the shortlist of the best crypto prop firms. The firms that drop HyroTrader’s consistency rule and minimum days are listed among the HyroTrader alternatives, and every other pair on the site is on the hub where you can compare two crypto prop firms.
