Prop Firm Consistency Rule Calculator (Best-Day Share)
The consistency rule calculator takes your daily results and a firm’s cap and gives your best day’s share of the total, whether the rule passes, and the total you still need before it does. The cap and the figure it is measured against are filled from 30 rule presets across the crypto prop firms that apply one.
Calculator
Worked example (static values when JavaScript is off). Daily results $5,000, $1,500, −$1,000, $2,500, $2,000 on a $100,000 HyroTrader One-Step account, whose 40% rule is measured against the $10,000 profit target: the best day is 50% of the target, over the 40% cap, so that day counts for at most $4,000 (40% × $10,000). The other $1,000 of that day stays in the account but does not count, which is not a breach.
Counted profit is the sum of each day capped at $4,000: $4,000 + $1,500 − $1,000 + $2,500 + $2,000 = $9,000 of the $10,000 target, so $1,000 more on other days meets it. The calculator’s “minimum total needed” line (best day ÷ cap, $12,500 here) applies to rules measured against the total profit; for a target-basis rule like HyroTrader’s, the counted profit and the shortfall to the target are the numbers to read.
How do you use the consistency rule calculator?
The consistency rule calculator needs three inputs, and a firm preset fills two of them.
- Pick a firm preset to load the cap and the figure it is measured against, or enter your own rule.
- Check the basis: the total net profit with losing days included, the total of positive days only, or the profit target.
- Paste your daily results, one per line, with losses as negative numbers; a column from your dashboard export or your journal works as it is.
- Read the best-day share, the pass or fail, and the total you still need, which is the number to plan the next days around.
The three inputs feed the two forms of the same formula.
How is a consistency rule calculated?
A consistency rule is calculated as the best day’s result divided by the figure the firm measures against, multiplied by 100, and the same rule turned around gives the minimum total a best day needs before a payout or a pass.
Formula
best-day share = best day ÷ (total net profit | total of positive days | profit target) × 100 minimum total needed = best day ÷ cap % more needed = minimum total − current total
Three variables carry the calculation, and the first is the day. The best day is the largest single day’s net result. The basis is the firm’s choice of what the day’s result is divided by. Mubite, Klein Funding, PropW, Upscale, E8 One and WenCrypto measure against the total net profit as the basis, which losing days reduce, and so does FTMO on 1-Step orders placed from 12 October 2026.
Cointracts, Fundedbit and FTMO’s older 1-Step orders measure against the total of positive days only, and Cointracts requires the share to be strictly below 50%. HyroTrader, Funded Trader Markets’ Nitro challenge and Dolvero measure against the profit target, which a losing day does not move. The cap runs from 15% at Dolvero to 50% at Cointracts and FTMO’s Best Day Rule.
Finseeds’ calculator, the page that ranks for the query, states the cap range as “Most prop firms require that your single best trading day represents no more than 25-50% of your total profits” and offers no firm presets.
The crypto firms’ caps and bases are the presets here. The share that comes out of the presets and your days is a percentage, and three bands say what it means.
What does your result mean?
Your result is the best-day share against the cap, and three bands tell you what to do.
| best-day share | what it means | what to do |
|---|---|---|
| under the cap by 10 points or more | the rule is clear | request the payout or the pass; keep each new day under the ceiling (target ÷ planned days) |
| within 10 points under the cap | one more good day can breach | stop early on a strong day; a losing day raises the share when the basis is the total |
| over the cap | the rule is breached as it stands | trade more days at smaller size until the total reaches best day ÷ cap; at a payout-stage rule the money waits, at an evaluation-stage rule the phase fails |
The stage decides the cost of the third band: Funded Trader Markets’ Nitro rule in the evaluation fails the phase, while Mubite’s Funded Score and Klein Funding’s Stability Score only delay the money. HyroTrader’s 40% fails nothing at the evaluation stage either; the profit above the cap simply stops counting toward the target. The full list of which rule binds at which stage is on the page about consistency rules at crypto prop firms.
Will a 12% BTC day fail Crypto Fund Trader’s Break account?
No, a 12% BTC day does not fail a Crypto Fund Trader Break account on its own, because the 40% rule binds at the payout stage. The day blocks the payout until the other days add up, and the $10,000 profit cap trims the day first.
The example is one firm’s rule at the payout stage; the preset table below carries the cap, the basis, the stage and the consequence for every rule.
Which crypto prop firms use a consistency rule?
The calculator carries 30 rule presets across 16 crypto prop firms, and the table is the list of them with the values the preset fills. TradeXProp’s 45% consistency score, stated on its homepage card without a basis, and the payout-stage scores at AquaFunded and FundingPips are in the firms’ records but not yet among the presets.

Ten of the presets apply in the evaluation or at promotion and twenty only at the funded or payout stage, and seven firms (Breakout, Kraken Prop, HyperPNL, Propr, SizeProp, Velotrade and BrightFunded) apply none on any plan.
The daily profit caps at Crypto Fund Trader ($10,000), Goat Funded Trader ($3,000) and E8 Pro (2% a day), which apply at the payout stage, are dollar ceilings the calculator does not model.
The calculator assumes one result per calendar day as the firm counts it; real dashboards can differ when a position closes across the firm’s reset.
What doesn’t the calculator include?
The calculator does not include three things, and each one can change the share the firm sees.
- The firm’s day boundary: a position closed across the reset (00:05 UTC at Crypto Fund Trader, 23:59 GMT+1 at Mubite’s check) is split into two days by the firm and not by the calculator.
- Dollar profit caps, which trim the best day before the ratio is taken at Crypto Fund Trader, Goat Funded Trader and E8 Pro.
- Payout cycles that reset the count, such as Mubite’s Funded Score, which starts again after each payout.
Every calculator on the site, including the ones for drawdown, position size and the payout, is listed on the hub of crypto prop firm calculators. The firms with no consistency rule on any plan are ranked with the rest on the shortlist of the best crypto prop firms.
