HyroTrader vs Crypto Fund Trader: Fees, Rules and Payouts

Affiliate link: PropRubric may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. It never changes a score or a ranking.

HyroTrader wins on payout timing and the fee refund, Crypto Fund Trader on price, and the two differ most on what “Bybit” means. At HyroTrader the challenge account is your own Bybit demo account reached through an API key, with Bybit’s interface and per-pair leverage, or a BloFin account or the firm’s own Hyro platform. At Crypto Fund Trader, Bybit is one of three venues beside MT5 and Match-Trader, limited to USDT pairs with spot banned.

Crypto Fund Trader is cheaper at entry ($40 against $59) and far cheaper per $10,000 on its Break account, HyroTrader refunds the fee with the first payout and pays within 24 hours, and both trade simulated capital in every phase by their own terms.

Ten differences follow, ordered by weight, then the prices by size, the rules side by side, the payout terms, who can join, the trust evidence and the conditions under which each firm is the right choice.

What is the difference between HyroTrader and Crypto Fund Trader?

HyroTrader and Crypto Fund Trader differ in ten ways that change what you pay or how you can fail, and the first is what the Bybit connection is. HyroTrader is a crypto prop firm provided by HYRO TECHNOLOGIES FZ-LLC in the UAE, with a British Virgin Islands company running its funded phase, whose unique attribute is a challenge traded on your own Bybit or BloFin demo account.

Crypto Fund Trader is a crypto prop firm run by SWISS RLCRATES AG in Zug, Switzerland, whose unique attribute is 715 crypto pairs across three platforms with Bybit as one of them.

  1. What “Bybit” means: HyroTrader connects your own Bybit demo account through an API key, so orders sit on Bybit’s interface at Bybit’s per-pair leverage, with BloFin and its own Hyro platform as the other venues; Crypto Fund Trader has the trader connect a dedicated sub-account under their own Bybit master account as one venue of three. On that Bybit sub-account, Crypto Fund Trader allows only USDT pairs, bans spot and forbids editing the API key. Both firms’ terms describe every phase as simulated, so the decider is the venue, not real money against demo money.
  2. Per-trade risk: HyroTrader removed its 3% per-trade loss cap in its October 2026 relaunch and sets no per-trade profit cap; Crypto Fund Trader publishes no loss cap on its standard models and caps the profit of one day or one trade at $10,000 instead.
  3. Daily limit: HyroTrader’s 5% on the Two-Step, 4% on the One-Step and 3% on the Zero-Step are static from the equity at 00:00 UTC; Crypto Fund Trader’s 5% on the 2-Phase and 4% on the 1-Phase are fixed from the balance at 00:05 UTC.
  4. Maximum drawdown: HyroTrader’s floor is static on every model, at 10% on the Two-Step, 6% on the One-Step and 5% on the Zero-Step; Crypto Fund Trader’s 2-Phase has a static 10% and its 1-Phase a trailing 6% that locks at the starting balance once the account is up 6%.
  5. Price: Crypto Fund Trader’s 1-Phase starts at $40 for $5,000 against HyroTrader’s $59, and its $100,000 Break account costs $527 in full ($199 upfront plus a $328 activation fee after passing) against HyroTrader’s $579 2-step.
  6. Consistency rule: HyroTrader counts any evaluation day up to 40% of the profit target, or one Zero-Step trade up to 50%; Crypto Fund Trader applies a 40% cap only on Break accounts.
  7. Minimum days: HyroTrader requires 1 on the Zero-Step and 5 per phase on the One- and Two-Step; Crypto Fund Trader’s FAQ requires none, while its older evaluation-process page says 5 per phase.
  8. Payout timing: HyroTrader pays on demand once the funded account is in profit, within 24 hours; Crypto Fund Trader pays after 15 traded days or every 30 calendar days, in about 8 hours on average.
  9. Refund: HyroTrader refunds the One- and Two-Step fee with the first payout, while its Zero-Step fee is non-refundable; Crypto Fund Trader publishes no refund.
  10. US residents: HyroTrader accepts US residents and leaves the United States off its published restricted list; Crypto Fund Trader accepts US residents on Match-Trader and the Bybit venue but not on MT5.

The full record of HyroTrader’s values, with the source and date for each, is in the HyroTrader review; the difference most buyers weigh first is the price, and the next section prices both firms by size.

Which is cheaper, HyroTrader or Crypto Fund Trader?

Crypto Fund Trader is cheaper than HyroTrader at every size from $5,000 to $200,000 on a like-for-like one-phase evaluation. The gap is $29 at $5,000 and $100 at $200,000, and its Break account costs $527 for $100,000 in full, $52 less than the HyroTrader 2-step before any refund. The HyroTrader refund with the first payout reverses the answer for a trader who gets paid.

Values from each firm's own pages, checked by PropRubric

Per $10,000 of funding, computed as the fee plus one reset at the same price divided by the size in $10,000 units, the $100,000 accounts cost $115.80 on HyroTrader’s 2-step and $149.80 on its 1-step. Crypto Fund Trader’s cost $123.80 on the 1-Phase, $132.00 on the 2-Phase and $72.60 on Break, where a failed attempt costs only the $199 upfront part. The like-for-like one-phase comparison is close at $100,000, and the Break account is about three-fifths of the price.

Add-ons and refunds change the price total: Crypto Fund Trader’s weekly-payout add-on costs 20% of the fee, HyroTrader sells no add-on, and HyroTrader returns the One- and Two-Step fee with the first payout, which Crypto Fund Trader does not publish. The Break account’s price buys a 40% consistency rule, and the rules decide which price is the lower one.

How do HyroTrader’s and Crypto Fund Trader’s rules compare?

HyroTrader’s and Crypto Fund Trader’s rules match on the stop-loss and time-limit rows and differ on most others, and the row that fails the most traders is the drawdown type on the one-phase models.

RuleHyroTraderCrypto Fund Trader
Daily drawdown ●zero-step: 3%; 1-step: 4%; 2-step: 5%; funded: same as the model (funded phase inherits it)2-phase: 5%; 1-phase: 4%; instant: 4%

Drawdown type ●daily: static: measured from equity (balance + open P&L + fees) at 00:00 UTC start of day; limit = fixed % of INITIAL balance; reference does not rise with intraday gains; resets daily 00:00 UTC; same on every model, no option; max loss: static equity floor on the initial allocation (95% / 94% / 90% for Zero / One / Two-Step); does not trail a high-water mark; equity-based incl. unrealised P&Lstatic (2-phase)
Per-trade loss cap ●none (removed in the October 2026 relaunch)none on the standard models
Stop-loss required ●no — a stop-loss order is not mandatoryno (general rules)
Consistency rule ●1-step: evaluation only: one trading day (net of all trades closed that day) counts for at most 40% of the PROFIT TARGET; 2-step: same, in both phases; zero-step: evaluation only: one trade counts for at most 50% of the profit target (no daily cap); funded: none; effect: excess profit stays in the account but does not count toward the target; not a breach; losses count in full40% single-day profit cap — break accounts only
Profit target ●zero-step: 10%; 1-step: 10%; 2-step: 10% (Challenge) then 5% (Verification); counting: only closed trades count2-phase: 8% then 5%; 1-phase: 10%; instant: 10%
Minimum trading days ●zero-step: 1; 1-step: 5; 2-step: 5 per phase (10 total); funded: none0
Time limit ●unlimitedindefinite
Weekend trading ●yes — 'Nothing is closed for you at the end of the day or the week'; overnight and weekend positions 'Permitted' (agreement Schedule 1 Part C); no swap or funding charge stated by the firm (Bybit/BloFin funding rates shown as data only)yes — 'regardless of the account type or instrument'; overnight swap charged on positions open at 00:00 UTC on MT5 and 22:00 UTC on Match-Trader (example: about $3.40 per BTC lot per night); on the Bybit account only Bybit's funding rate applies, no CFT markup
Leverage ●Bybit (own demo account via API): up to 150x on BTC and ETH, 50x–100x on most pairs; BloFin (own demo account via API): up to 150x on BTC and ETH; Hyro platform: up to 100x+, depending on the pairup to 1:100: Bybit accounts up to 1:100; on MT5 and Match-Trader, 1:100 on 'Advanced' accounts ($50K–$200K 2-Phase, $100K–$200K 1-Phase) and crypto 1:5 on all other accounts (smaller 2-Phase and 1-Phase, Instant, Ascend, Break)

The drawdown type is the worked example. On a $100,000 one-phase account that climbs to $104,000, the HyroTrader One-Step drawdown floor stays at $94,000, while the Crypto Fund Trader 1-Phase floor trails up to $97,760 ($104,000 × 0.94). A $6,500 slide from that high, to $97,500, then breaches only the Crypto Fund Trader account.

The stop-loss row matches: neither account requires one, HyroTrader dropped its 3% per-trade cap in its October 2026 relaunch and Crypto Fund Trader publishes no per-trade loss cap on its standard models, and both rulebooks describe the capital as simulated. Crypto Fund Trader’s own values and its two reference times are in the Crypto Fund Trader review.

Which pays out faster, HyroTrader or Crypto Fund Trader?

HyroTrader pays out sooner than Crypto Fund Trader on the first payout, and the transfer times overlap. HyroTrader pays on demand once the funded account is in profit, within 24 hours, up to 5% of the initial balance per request. Crypto Fund Trader pays after 15 traded days or 30 calendar days, with a transfer of about 8 hours on average and up to 48 business hours.

The conditions on HyroTrader’s side are the 40% consistency cap in the evaluation, which slows a pass rather than failing it, and the two exposure caps on the funded account, where a second breach fails the funded stage. The condition on Crypto Fund Trader’s side is the waiting cycle itself, which the weekly add-on shortens for 20% of the fee.

Neither firm’s payout speed over that cycle is measured by an independent tracker, so both figures are the firms’ own, and HyroTrader’s feed is the one with transaction IDs, published for its Solana payouts.

Who can join HyroTrader and Crypto Fund Trader?

Both firms verify identity before the money moves, HyroTrader before the funded account and Crypto Fund Trader before the first reward. They differ on US residents: HyroTrader accepts them and publishes a restricted-country list without the United States, while Crypto Fund Trader excludes US residents from MT5 only.

A trader on either firm’s Bybit account also meets Bybit’s own regional rules, which is the one access rule the firms share, and a document problem at HyroTrader delays funding while at Crypto Fund Trader it delays the first payout.

Is HyroTrader or Crypto Fund Trader more trustworthy?

HyroTrader carries the stronger evidence of the two, an on-chain payout feed for its Solana payouts and a Trustpilot rating of 4.0, and both are operating crypto prop firms with named legal entities. Crypto Fund Trader publishes a Swiss entity and a Trustpilot profile whose rating was withheld after fake reviews were removed.

PropFirmBook’s comparison of the pair, which ranks for the query, states that “HyroTrader offers a higher advertised profit split (90% vs 80%)”. The firms’ own pages say otherwise: both start at 80% and both reach 90%, and the difference is how, at the firm’s discretion on the One- and Two-Step at HyroTrader and by model and scaling at Crypto Fund Trader.

Should you choose HyroTrader or Crypto Fund Trader?

HyroTrader is the choice for a trader who buys the Bybit interface, the refund, the payout timing and a static floor on every model. Crypto Fund Trader is the choice for a trader who buys the price per $10,000, the zero minimum days and the absence of a consistency rule outside Break. HyroTrader wins the payout-timing, refund, US-access and one-phase-floor rows; Crypto Fund Trader wins the price, minimum-days and consistency-rule rows, so the deciding rule is the one your strategy meets first.

Choose HyroTrader if you:

  • trade on Bybit and want the challenge on the same interface, pairs and leverage;
  • expect to be funded, because the fee comes back with the first payout;
  • want a payout on demand within 24 hours, with Solana payouts published by transaction ID;
  • want a static floor on every model, and accept that no evaluation day counts for more than 40% of the profit target.

Choose Crypto Fund Trader if you:

  • want $100,000 of funding on Break at $199 upfront and $527 in full, or the $40 1-Phase entry;
  • want to pass without minimum trading days, which its FAQ sets at zero;
  • want 715 pairs across MT5, Match-Trader and Bybit, or payouts in BTC, ETH or by bank;
  • can wait 15 traded days for the first payout, or pay 20% more for weekly payouts.

The closest alternatives differ on exactly the venue, for a trader whom neither firm’s Bybit model fits.

  • Breakout: no Bybit at all, the Breakout Terminal inside the Kraken group, the cheapest standing plans at $20 for $5,000, no per-trade cap and no consistency rule, from $20; a Delaware evaluation company with USDC payouts on Ethereum only.
  • Klein Funding: your own Bybit account connected by an API key for tracking only, 1:100 on most coins, a static 6% floor on its Bybit plans and a Stability Score that delays rather than fails, from $52.25; a Delaware-registered firm paying in USDT, BTC, ETH, bank or Wise.
