Velotrade vs HyroTrader: Fees, Rules and Payouts (2026)
Affiliate link: PropRubric may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. It never changes a score or a ranking.
Velotrade and HyroTrader differ most on how you pass: Velotrade has no consistency rule but counts only days that close at least 0.8% in profit, while HyroTrader counts any trading day but caps each at 40% of the target. Both firms set the same Two-Step rules and a static maximum loss, and the pass rule decides which trader each suits. Velotrade is cheaper on the Two-Step from $5,000 to $25,000, HyroTrader from $50,000, and HyroTrader pays sooner and refunds the fee with the first payout.
Both firms run every phase, the funded payout stage included, on simulated accounts, by their own terms. Ten differences follow, ordered by weight, then the prices by size, the rules side by side, the payout terms, who can join, the trust evidence and the conditions under which each firm is the right choice.

What is the difference between Velotrade and HyroTrader?
Velotrade and HyroTrader differ in ten ways that change what you pay or how you can fail, and the first is the rule that decides how you pass. Velotrade is a Hong Kong prop firm launched in 2026 by the team behind a 2016 trade-finance company, selling crypto and multi-asset challenges on DXtrade. HyroTrader is a crypto-only prop firm founded in 2023 that runs challenges on the trader’s own Bybit or BloFin demo account, or on its Hyro platform.
Does Velotrade have a consistency rule? No, Velotrade has no consistency rule at any stage, but its 5 minimum days per phase count only days that close with realised profit of at least 0.8% of the starting balance, a rule in force since August 2026.
- Pass rule: HyroTrader counts a day toward the target only up to 40% of the profit target, and keeps the excess in the account without breaching it; Velotrade counts every dollar but only days closing at +0.8% or more.
- Venue and leverage: HyroTrader allows up to 150x on BTC and ETH and 50x to 100x on most pairs on Bybit, and one of its FAQ pages gives Bybit up to 100x; Velotrade allows 10x on BTC in the challenge and 5x once funded on DXtrade.
- Payout path: HyroTrader pays on demand from the first profit, within 24 hours, up to 5% of the initial balance per request; Velotrade pays first 14 days after the first funded trade plus 5 qualifying days, then weekly, with the first two payouts capped at 20 times the challenge fee.
- Refund: HyroTrader returns the One-Step and Two-Step fee with the first payout; Velotrade’s fee is non-refundable once the platform is accessed.
- Price by model: Velotrade is cheaper on the Two-Step from $5,000 to $25,000 and HyroTrader from $50,000 to $100,000.
- Markets: HyroTrader lists 700+ USDT perpetual pairs on Bybit and Hyro; Velotrade lists 104 crypto perpetuals plus FX, stocks, indices and commodities.
- Daily-limit basis: HyroTrader measures the daily limit from your equity at 00:00 UTC; Velotrade measures it below the higher of balance or equity at 00:30 UTC.
- 1-step drawdown: HyroTrader’s One-Step sets a 4% daily and 6% maximum loss; Velotrade’s CLASSIC 1-Step sets 4% and 7%, and its PRO 1-Step 3% and 3%.
- Funded exposure: HyroTrader caps funded margin at 25% and notional at 2 times the initial balance; Velotrade states no exposure limit.
- Holding cost: Velotrade charges 0.05% daily funding on crypto positions open at 00:30 UTC; HyroTrader states no swap or funding charge.
The full record of Velotrade’s values, with the source and date for each, is in the review of Velotrade’s rules, fees and payouts; the difference most buyers weigh after the pass rule is the price, and the next section prices both firms by size.
Which is cheaper, Velotrade or HyroTrader?
Velotrade or HyroTrader being cheaper depends on the account size: on the Two-Step, whose rules are identical, Velotrade is cheaper from $5,000 to $25,000 ($100 vs $119 at $10,000) and HyroTrader is cheaper from $50,000 ($379 vs $419). Only HyroTrader sells a $200,000 Two-Step, at $969.

Refunds change the total: HyroTrader returns the One-Step and Two-Step fee with the first payout, so a $10,000 Two-Step trader who takes a first payout has paid $0 net at HyroTrader and $100 at Velotrade.
Velotrade’s cheapest challenge, at $40 on the PRO 1-Step for $5,000, costs less than any HyroTrader plan, with a 3% daily and 3% maximum loss, and its 90% split costs 20% more at checkout.
HyroTrader’s Zero-Step costs from $89, passes in 1 day and carries a non-refundable fee, and both firms’ list prices are shown without the site-wide codes each one runs.

How do Velotrade’s and HyroTrader’s rules compare?
Velotrade and HyroTrader both use a static maximum loss and no per-trade cap, so their rules differ in how a passing day is counted, how the daily limit is measured and how much leverage you get.

The pass rule is the worked example, on a $10,000 Two-Step at both firms with a 10% target of $1,000. A trader who makes $700 of that target on day one at HyroTrader has $400 counted, 40% of $1,000, and still needs $600 more over at least 4 more trading days, each closing a trade worth $500 or more that moved 1%. The same $700 day counts in full at Velotrade, but the trader still needs 5 days that each close at least $80 of realised profit, so a day at +$50 or at a loss does not count.
The day rule therefore hurts a different trader at each firm: a single big day at HyroTrader, and small or uneven winning days at Velotrade. Leverage splits the pair next, up to 150x on BTC and ETH at HyroTrader on Bybit and BloFin, against 10x on BTC in Velotrade’s challenge and 5x once funded, 6x then 5x on ETH and SOL, and 2x on most other coins. HyroTrader’s own leverage values and the rest of its record since the October relaunch are in HyroTrader’s rules and payout record.
Which pays out faster, Velotrade or HyroTrader?
HyroTrader pays out faster: you can request a payout as soon as the funded account is in profit and it is paid within 24 hours, while Velotrade’s first payout comes 14 days after your first funded trade and after 5 qualifying days. Velotrade then pays weekly on request, within 24 hours of approval.

| Fee refund ● | non-refundable once the platform is accessed or the first trade is placed | one-step: Refundable Challenge Deposit, returned with (as a separate crypto transaction alongside) the first payout; two-step: same as One-Step; zero-step: non-refundable Challenge Fee once the challenge is activated; refunded only if cancelled before activation, if the unactivated challenge expires (6 months), or if HyroTrader itself cancels/terminates the challenge; all: cancel before activation = full return within 14 days |
The caps bind at different points. On a $100,000 Two-Step, HyroTrader pays at most $5,000 of profit per request, so a trader above 5% requests early and often, while Velotrade caps only its first two payouts, at 20 times the challenge fee, and pays nothing above the cap on those two.
Who can join Velotrade and HyroTrader?
Velotrade and HyroTrader both accept US traders and both verify identity before the funded account, and they differ on how much of the access rule they publish. Is Velotrade or HyroTrader more trustworthy?
Velotrade carries the stronger per-payout evidence of the two, an Arbiscan link for every payout, and HyroTrader the longer operating record, since 2023; both firms name their companies and their leaders. Velotrade’s prop operator is a firm incorporated in November 2025, and the “est. 2016” on its pages belongs to its trade-finance business.

HyroTrader’s 6–8 October 2026 relaunch added the Zero-Step and removed the per-trade cap, and Velotrade’s profit-days rule took effect on 22 August 2026. Velotrade’s own HyroTrader comparison pages, read on 27 October 2026, still describe a 3% per-trade cap and a trailing daily limit that HyroTrader dropped in that October relaunch. Trustpilot showed HyroTrader at 4.0 from 229 reviews, and showed Velotrade’s rating as unavailable for a guidelines breach, with fake reviews removed, across 8 reviews.
Should you choose Velotrade or HyroTrader?
Velotrade is the choice for a trader who passes in a few big days and wants markets beyond crypto, and HyroTrader is the choice for a trader who wants exchange leverage, an early payout and the fee back. Velotrade wins the consistency, split-route, markets and payout-proof rows and the Two-Step price up to $25,000; HyroTrader wins the leverage, payout-timing and refund rows, the Two-Step price from $50,000 and the $200,000 size, so the deciding row is the one your strategy meets first.
Choose Velotrade if you:
- make most of your target in one or two days, because Velotrade caps no day;
- want 90% from the first payout, through the +20% add-on;
- trade FX, stocks, indices or commodities beside 104 crypto perpetuals;
- buy a $5,000 to $25,000 Two-Step, where Velotrade is $5 to $24 cheaper;
- want every payout checkable on Arbiscan.
Choose HyroTrader if you:
- trade on Bybit or BloFin and want leverage up to 150x on BTC and ETH;
- want a payout as soon as the funded account is in profit, within 24 hours;
- expect to be funded, because the One- and Two-Step fee comes back with the first payout;
- buy a $50,000 Two-Step or larger, or need the $200,000 size;
- want a firm operating since 2023 with a named founder.
The closest alternatives drop the profit-day count, for a trader whom neither the profit-day rule nor the 40% day cap fits.
What if neither Velotrade nor HyroTrader fits?
Three alternatives differ from the pair on the pass rule, and each card names the attribute.
- Breakout: no consistency rule and no minimum days, so one trade can pass, with on-demand USDC payouts and 10x on BTC on Kraken’s own terminal, from $20 for $5,000.
- Kraken Prop: the same programme as Breakout, sold inside Kraken Pro, with no consistency rule, no minimum days and on-demand payouts to the Kraken wallet; Canada, India and the United Kingdom are excluded.
- Bitfunded: a static maximum loss from the starting balance, no minimum days and up to 2 USDT payouts every 30 days, from a UAE company.
