Free Crypto Prop Firm Challenges, Trials and Competitions

Affiliate link: PropRubric may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. It never changes a score or a ranking.

Nineteen of 28 crypto prop firms offer something free at PropRubric’s last check, but only one free offer, BrightFunded’s Free $1K Challenge, can lead to a payout without a purchase or a contest win. Three other free offers can pay, but each comes as a prize or a bonus. Mubite’s free accounts come from giveaways, competitions and BOGO offers, capped at 5% of the account size in lifetime withdrawals; Velotrade’s free challenges go to the top players of its free Sprint Trading game, with a limited split and payout cap.

Funded Trader Markets’ free accounts, from giveaways, games and partnerships, pay at an 80% split. The other free offers are trials, which practise the rules on a demo that never pays, and competitions, which pay a prize, usually a paid challenge, to the top ranks.

“Free” therefore buys one of three things, and whether the free account can withdraw is the question that separates them. Read whether each free account can withdraw in the payout column, then compare the firms’ paid rules on the shortlist of best crypto prop firms.

Values from each firm's own pages, checked by PropRubric

Each firm’s source page and check date are in its row tooltip; the nine firms with no free offer are named at the end of this page, with the paid options that come closest.

Which crypto prop firms offer a free challenge or trial?

PropRubric checked all 28 crypto prop firms for free offers, and 19 have one, in three types.

  1. A free challenge that can pay out: BrightFunded’s Free $1K Challenge, open to every trader, plus the accounts won or given as bonuses at Mubite, Velotrade and Funded Trader Markets, and Kraken’s entry after a $200 deposit.
  2. A free trial that never pays: HyroTrader up to $200,000, FundingPips up to $200,000, FTMO, E8 Markets, Dolvero, Mubite, RebelsFunding and Propr.
  3. A competition with a prize: Crypto Fund Trader, Tradeify 247, The5ers, FundingPips, RebelsFunding, Goat Funded Trader, Upscale, Fundedbit and AquaFunded’s giveaway.

The free challenge with the clearest payout terms is BrightFunded’s, which pays 80% of profits in USDC or euros after one phase. The largest free trial is HyroTrader’s, as the HyroTrader review sets out.

Is a free crypto prop firm challenge really free?

The payout cap is the second difference between free offers that can pay. Mubite’s FAQ caps the lifetime withdrawals of any free account at 5% of its size, so a free $50,000 account can withdraw $2,500 in total, after which “the account may be closed or restricted from further withdrawals”.

Velotrade says its free or awarded challenges are “limited” in profit split and payout cap without naming the figures, and BrightFunded’s Free $1K Challenge names no cap but pays only from 30 days after the first funded trade.

The cheapest paid challenges, which can cost less than a free offer with a deposit condition, are named at the end of this page.

How do free crypto prop firm offers compare?

Free crypto prop firm offers compare on three axes with a different leader on each. BrightFunded leads on payout rights with a free challenge that pays 80%, HyroTrader leads on trial size with $200,000 and no card, and Crypto Fund Trader leads on competition prizes with a $200,000 evaluation for each of ten places. The six sections below cover each firm in the same order: origin and category, the unique attribute, the price from, the free rule with its exact terms, the catch, and the links.

BrightFunded: The Free $1K Challenge That Pays

BrightFunded is a multi-asset prop firm run by Bright Global FZCO in Dubai, with 48 crypto pairs. The unique attribute of BrightFunded is the Free $1K Challenge, offered to “every trader”: one phase, a 10% target and 5 minimum days. Prices at BrightFunded start at €47 for a $5,000 2-Step Bright.

The free rule at BrightFunded is an 80/20 split on the funded account, paid in USDC on ERC-20 or by bank in euros. The catch at BrightFunded is the first reward, which waits 30 days after the first funded trade, and a 6% trailing floor. Read the BrightFunded crypto trading page.

Mubite: Free Accounts, Capped at 5%

Mubite is a crypto-first prop firm run by Mubite s.r.o. in Prague. The unique attribute of Mubite is a published cap on free accounts from giveaways, competitions and BOGO offers: lifetime withdrawals of 5% of the account size. Prices at Mubite start at $44 for a $625 Instant account, and its challenges at $65 for a $5,000 Two-Step.

The free rule at Mubite is $500 on a free $10,000 account, $2,500 on $50,000 and $5,000 on $100,000. The catch at Mubite is that a BOGO bonus account closes if the paid order behind it is refunded or charged back. Read the Mubite review.

HyroTrader: A $200,000 Free Trial, No Card

HyroTrader is a crypto-first prop firm provided by HYRO TECHNOLOGIES FZ-LLC in the UAE. The unique attribute of HyroTrader is a free demo of its evaluation at sizes up to $200,000, with no card required. Prices at HyroTrader start at $59 for a $5,000 2-step.

The free rule at HyroTrader is one trial at a time, and “Performance during the trial is not eligible for withdrawals or profit payouts”. The catch at HyroTrader is that a passed trial earns nothing, so the trial tests the rules, not the payout. Read the HyroTrader review.

Crypto Fund Trader: Free Tournaments, Ten $200,000 Prizes

Crypto Fund Trader is a crypto-first prop firm run by SWISS RLCRATES AG in Zug, Switzerland. The unique attribute of Crypto Fund Trader is a free tournament whose top 10 each win a $200,000 evaluation. Prices at Crypto Fund Trader start at $40 for a $5,000 1-Phase, with a $1 trial for a $1,000 2-Phase sold in 500 units.

The free rule at Crypto Fund Trader is free entry, with the prize an evaluation, not a funded account. The catch at Crypto Fund Trader is that the winner still has to pass the $200,000 evaluation before any payout. Read the Crypto Fund Trader review.

FundingPips: A Free Trial and a Monthly Competition

FundingPips is a multi-asset prop firm with its address in IFZA Business Park, Dubai, and two crypto CFDs. The unique attribute of FundingPips is two free offers at once: a trial and a free Monthly Competition. Prices at FundingPips start at $33 for a $5,000 2 Step Pro.

The free rule at FundingPips is a trial on the 2 Step Standard from $5,000 to $100,000 and the 2 Step Pro up to $200,000, 14 days per phase, with “no profit entitlement”. The catch at FundingPips is crypto leverage that drops from 1:2 to 1:1 once funded. Read the FundingPips crypto trading page.

Kraken Prop: A Free Challenge Entry for a $200 Deposit

Kraken Prop is the crypto prop programme sold through Kraken, the same programme as Breakout. The unique attribute of the Kraken offer is a free entry to the Kraken Funded Challenge for a new Kraken account opened with a partner voucher code. Prices at Kraken Prop start at $20 for a $5,000 Advanced.

The free rule at Kraken is a $200 deposit and $200 traded with your own funds, after which the entry fee is waived and a pass earns a $1,000 funded account. The catch at Kraken is the deposit: the entry is free, the qualifying trade is not. Read the Kraken Prop review.

How do you choose a free crypto prop firm offer?

You choose a free crypto prop firm offer by checking whether it can withdraw, how much, and what it costs to qualify, and five checks cover it.

  1. Check whether the free account can withdraw. Trials never pay. Best on this list: BrightFunded’s Free $1K Challenge, with an 80/20 split.
  2. Read the KYC rule for free accounts. A free account that reaches a payout goes through the same identity check as a paid one. Best on this list: BrightFunded, which states the payout methods in the same article.
  3. Check the payout cap. Mubite caps free accounts at 5% of the size for life. Best on this list: BrightFunded, which publishes no cap on the Free $1K Challenge.
  4. Check what qualifying costs. Kraken’s free entry needs a $200 deposit and $200 traded; Goat Funded Trader’s free account needed a purchase under a promotion that the firm replaced on 6 September 2026, plus a first payout. Best on this list: HyroTrader’s trial, with no card.
  5. Check the competition’s prize terms. A prize evaluation still has to be passed before it pays. Best on this list: Crypto Fund Trader, with ten $200,000 evaluations.

The order of the firms above follows payout rights, then the size of the free offer, and the method behind every cell is on the page about how PropRubric verifies crypto prop firm data. The firms above offer something free; the others are worth knowing too, because a cheap paid option can cost less than a free one with conditions.

Which crypto prop firms offer no free option?

Nine crypto prop firms show no free challenge, trial or competition on the pages PropRubric searched at its last check.

  • Breakout, Klein Funding, Cointracts, TradeXProp, HyperPNL and SizeProp show no free offer.
  • PropW held a one-off in-person competition in Seoul on 11 April 2026 and showed no competition scheduled at PropRubric’s last check.
  • Bitfunded runs tournaments, but only for traders who buy a challenge first.
  • WenCrypto comes closest without being free: its pay-later plan costs $5 upfront for a $5,000 challenge, with the rest due only after passing.

The paid accounts that skip the challenge altogether are compared on the list of instant funding crypto prop firms, and the cheapest paid challenges, with each firm’s refund rule, are on the list of cheapest crypto prop firm challenges.
